(Cancún, SoloAzar Exclusive).- José Aníbal Aguirre, CEO of GAT Events and Chief Manager Operator of Mobadoo, shares an evaluation after GAT Caribe Cancún and reveals when and where the next edition of this key event in the world of gambling will be held.

GAT Caribe Cancún: Balance and future according to José Aníbal Aguirre

This year, GAT Caribe took place for the first time in Cancun, Mexico. With regard to the main challenges they faced when organizing the conference in this new setting, José Aníbal Aguirre CEO of GAT Events and Chief Manager Operator of Mobadoo, explains that “one of the biggest challenges was finding an ecosystem that, although enormous, was almost new for us. in its internal structure and the call alone constituted an absolute novelty for operators and suppliers in the country since, for more than a decade, an in-person fair had not been organized. In this first challenge, the support of AIEJA was key, which, going beyond a merely literal commitment, moved the holding of its last assembly in 2024 to Cancún, the venue we chose to carry out this pilot in Mexico. Thus, we were able to guarantee the active participation of important local and international brands, as well as verify the good will of GAT Events with the support of loyal followers of our fairs and lifelong friends.”

Then he highlighted that “GAT Caribe Cancún involved a greater economic investment with new service providers in production and logistics. The gain was to present a very complete academy with updating content and a welcome cocktail with an extraordinary atmosphere, which led to the reunion of business leaders who were very satisfied with our work as facilitators of industry integration.  We obtained the same level of execution and comfort offered to the visitor in the exhibition at stands on November 27 at the Cancún Center, concluding the program with a themed dinner alluding to one of the indigenous cultures of Mexico, in a renowned beach restaurant.” .

The choice of Cancun from out GAT Caribe

Now, what motivated you to choose Cancun as the venue for this event?

“Its reputation as a tourist destination and global business center, which makes it an ideal place to attract attendees from all latitudes in an incomparable networking environment. In addition, the first-class facilities of the fairgrounds and international air connectivity ensured a successful experience for all participants who actually arrived from 31 countries on four continents.”

How did you perceive the response of exhibitors and attendees during the planning of the event?

We knew that this was a crucial test that we managed to surpass with flying colors by announcing GAT Expo México 2025 for August 20 and 21, again in alliance with AIEJA, driven by the results of participation of more than 178 leading companies, highlighting the interest of the global industry in the Mexican market. Sponsors, exhibitors and attendees valued both the organization and the expansion opportunities that GAT Caribe Cancún offered them. The enthusiasm and commitment shown by the related brands were key to the success of the event and the confirmation of its continuity in Mexico City. Proof of the confidence in our management is the permanent presence of Pragmatic Play as Diamond Sponsor of GAT Expo and in Mexico City we have confirmed the participation of Novomatic, Merkur and Interblock, to name some of the most recognized.”

The central role of AI in today's gaming industry

We know that you are very interested in the use of AI for the world of gambling. What can you tell us about it?

“Artificial intelligence has divided the history of the world's economy, not to mention its current role in the global gaming industry. Its use allows you to improve the player experience, optimize security, personalize services and unleash creativity with great technological support. In my capacity as Commercial Director of Mobadoo, I had the opportunity to participate in one of the conferences on AI content in virtual betting, a presentation received with great interest and approval from the audience present”.

 The Future of GAT Caribe

Finally we asked José Aníbal Aguirre: When will the next edition be? Is the location already defined?

“The next edition will be in the Mexican capital, Mexico City, on August 20 and 21, 2025. This move will be the perfect occasion for the growth of this initiative, the relevance of the event at a media and business level, making GAT Expo Mexico 2025 in one of the most important fairs on the continent, adding new formats and attracting a large number of audiences from all Mexican states and hundreds of brands interested in entering this giant market. I take advantage of this opportunity that Soloazar gives me again, a very important medium for GAT Events, to wish you happy holidays and a new year full of achievements and well-being. I specifically invite you to meet in Cartagena de Indias from April 28 to 30, 2025, in the 26th version of GAT Expo Cartagena.”
